Sunday Sessions for Kids

Join us on Flag Day to explore one of the most iconic images in American art: the flag.

Inspired by Jasper Johns’ groundbreaking Flag paintings, children will learn the story behind this famous artwork and then create their own vibrant, personal version using mixed media.

This hands-on workshop is designed to spark creativity, build confidence, and show that great art ideas can come from anywhere, even a simple flag. Materials are provided, and every child leaves with their own masterpiece to take home and proudly display.

Space is limited. All skill levels welcome and no previous art experience needed. Perfect for future collectors, budding creators, or families looking for a meaningful weekend activity together. Parents should plan to stay and are welcome to check out Liz Murphy's solo show, In Contrast.

We can’t wait to see what flags our young artists dream up!
