Artist Statement

My work is focused on color and rooted in practice. I have developed a system for observing the complex and often elusive behavior of color while examining the boundaries between art and craft.

Each edition is defined by a specific color experiment. These experiments are built to explore color and material in conversation with one another. The interactions are structured across multiple printed and embellished layers to shift individual and relative perception of color.

The results form a dialogue between the eye and the hand. The color fields are intentionally unstable and represent an opportunity for the audience to perceive themselves being deceived.
