About the Artist

Tucker is a proud Colorado son making work in Brooklyn, NY. From his undergraduate studies in Los Angeles at the Art Center College of Design and Occidental College, Tucker moved north to cut his teeth in the Bay Area. After an inaugural group show at the DeYoung Museum, his practice moved to Brooklyn where he continues to speak to class, the beauty of everyday objects, and his blue-collar history. Drawing inspiration from artists the likes of Rauschenberg, Thiebaud, Holzer, Kiefer, and Baldessari, Eason’s work hints at themes of labor, class and exploitation. Through long studio hours, and ruthless dedication, he’s making a name for himself in the competitive art world, and not slowing down anytime soon.

Artist Statement

Objects carry their history with them, telling a story in scratches, patina. and the smoothed edges of something well used.  Built to Last is about time, labor, and the objects that shape our lives.

This collection focuses on the connection between people and the things they rely on. Hands play a central role—holding cameras, resting on a table. Alongside them are machines—old trucks, tractors, projectors—objects built to last, still carrying their weight.

Every dent, faded color, and worn edge is evidence of use and care. The beauty isn’t in perfection but in the marks left behind—proof of work, time, and presence. A tool is more than its function; it’s something shaped by use, something relied upon. Over time, objects become extensions of us, reminders of what we’ve done and where we’ve been.
